Tante Ruth and Om Jan lovingly welcomed me into their home for a visit in April of 2010. I am the daughter of Om Jan's niece MaryAnne, but essentially was a stranger to them, and yet it felt like I'd known them for years. We spent a beautiful day visiting and admiring both their garden and the nearby public gardens. Their love for each other and their family was so evident. I will cherish my day of memories with Tante Ruth, and pray for comfort and peace for Om Jan and the family.
