Charmaine Farrell — 26 February 2024
Dear Paul and family. This is Charmaine, Lorraine and Keiths daughter, and I am sending this message on behalf of myself and my brother Mark. Sadly, neither of us are in Melbourne at the moment so we wont be able to attend Rivas funeral this morning. As you know, we lost Lorraine 12 months ago and we understand the loss and the grief you are experiencing. We send our condolences to you and the rest of the Street family. Along with her sister Pat, Riva was Lorraines oldest friend. As young women, they had lots of fun together, attending dances and other social events. Lorraine always spoke with the greatest respect and affection for Riva. And Riva, along with Ray, was a constant presence in our early life in Heidelberg and Ivanhoe, when the two women were young mothers and their families were growing. It is a consolation and an indication of their strong connection to their people, that both Riva and Lorraine had long and rich lives, filled with the love of family and friends. Our thoughts are with you. Love from Charmaine and Mark Smith
