Vale Cathy. It is wonderful that you are no longer in pain.I have come to realise that, in some ways, you will always be here. You are in every perfect cup of tea, in unlooked for acts of kindness and generosity, in witty repartee, in the love of literature, in the things that really matter and in the linen press with the hedge rabbits. The world is a better place because of you. That knowledge wont stop me missing you but it does remind me how lucky I am to have met you all those years ago.
Susan & Andrew Chapman — 1 March 2024
Alan, Tori, Nick and family. A lovely service to remember Cathys life. The lolly bags brought back memories of Cathy at childrens parties with home-made colouring-in books and pirate/fairy accessories. We remember long chats about the joys and challenges of child and teenager raising, of juggling careers and family life. We know Cathy was happy that she was able to see her children become independent adults and she fought hard to do so. The last eight years have been difficult but Cathy met them with determination, humour grace and aplomb. She was incredible and we were always filled with admiration for her, Alan and their family. Visits to Sandy Point are joyful memories of long days full of conversations, reminiscing and enjoying the beach and nature Cathy enjoyed so much. We will miss Cathy very much. Much love, Susan & Andrew

Sending love and comfort to Alan, Tori and Nick. I knew Cathy as Miss Grundy, who taught me German, Literature and Psychology at Bayswater Secondary College. I will always remember her warmth and laugh that filled the classroom, especially when one of the boys made up a German alphabet dance! It was such a privilege to reunite with Cathy at May's 40th and share what those lessons in early high school had meant to me. Rest in peace.
